Pharmaceutical Analysis of Atorvastatin in the Treatment of Elderly Patients with Coronary Heart Disease and Its Effects on Triglyceride and Total Cholesterol Levels in Patients

Abstract：Objective To investigate the clinical efficacy of atorvastatin treatment in elderly patients with coronary heart disease(hereinafter referred to as "coronary heart disease")and its impact on triglyceride(TG)and total cholesterol(TC)levels. Method 68 elderly patients with coronary heart disease were selected as the observation subjects.According to the principle of random number table,the observation subjects were randomly divided into two groups,named control group and observation group respectively.The number of patients in each group was 34,and the treatment methods used were conventional treatment and conventional treatment plus atorvastatin treatment.The clinical total effective rate,blood lipid levels before and after treatment,and cardiac function indicators of the two groups were compared. Results Compared with the control group,the observation group showed significantly higher overall clinical effective rates(P<0.05);After treatment,the observation group showed lower levels of TG,TC,and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)compared to the control group,and higher levels of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)compared to the control group(P<0.05);Compared with the control group,the observation group had relatively lower left ventricular end systolic diameter(LVESD)and left ventricular end diastolic diameter(LVEDD),and relatively higher left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)compared with the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Atorvastatin treatment has a significant effect on elderly patients with coronary heart disease,not only effectively regulating their blood lipid levels,but also improving their cardiac function indicators.
