Abstract:Objective To investigate the application of ultrasound-guided sacral block and subarachnoid block in anorectal surgery. Methods A total of 60 patients undergoing anorectal surgery were selected and randomly divided into a control group(30 cases)and an experimental group(30 cases)using a sealed envelope method.The control group received subarachnoid block anesthesia,while the experimental group received ultrasound-guided sacral block anesthesia.The anesthetic effects,postoperative pain,total analgesic drug usage,analgesic pump pressurization frequency,and complications were compared between the two groups. Results The onset time for sensory and motor block in the experimental group was shorter than that in the conventional group,and the duration of anesthesia was longer(P<0.05).Compared to 6 hours post-surgery,both groups showed a decrease in VAS scores at 12 and 24 hours post-surgery,with the experimental group having lower VAS scores at 6,12,and 24 hours post-surgery(P<0.05).The total analgesic drug usage and analgesic pump pressurization frequency in the experimental group were also lower than those in the conventional group(P<0.05).The overall incidence of complications in the experimental group was lower than that in the conventional group(P<0.05). Conclusion Ultrasound-guided sacral block is effective in anorectal surgery,providing good anesthesia,reducing postoperative pain,and decreasing the use of analgesic drugs and the occurrence of complications.
