Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of abdominal wall thickness in patients with chronic liver disease on the detection of liver stiffness by 2D-SWE. Methods A total of 2395 patients with chronic liver disease were collected.Collect the patient's general information,such as age,gender,BMI;ultrasound detection collects the patient's abdominal wall thickness(AWT),non-muscle layer thickness(NMT)and liver stiffness(LS),and calculates the patient's NMT/AWT ratio. Results Among the 2395 patients,691 patients(28.85%)were classified as invalid liver stiffness group(standard deviation of liver stiffness/median liver stiffness>0.1).The average age and average BMI of the LS effective group were lower than the LS ineffective group,the number of women in the effective group was lower than that of the ineffective group,the AWT of the ineffective group was significantly higher than that of the effective group,and the NMT/AWT ratio was significantly lower than that of the effective group.Univariate regression analysis showed that age,gender,BMI,abdominal wall thickness and NMT/AWT ratio are closely related to the reliability of LS measurements. Conclusion The increase in AWT and the increase in the NMT/AWT ratio reduce the confidence level of the LS value measured by 2-D-SWE.When operating accurately,the operator can also select the penetrating power mode,which may improve the reliability of the measurement.
