Abstract:Objective To investigate the clinical characteristics and pathological diagnosis of orbital cyst in children. Methods A total of 96 children with orbital cystwere retrospectively analyzed in terms of clinical manifestations, imaging manifestations, pathological diagnosis and treatment. Results 96 patients with orbital cysts ranged. The onset time of the patient was the shortest at birth and the longest was 4 years. The masses of 96 patients were all palpable on the skin surface, and most of them had fair activity.None of them had abscess or surrounding tissue inflammation.Of the 96 patients,72 underwent orbital CT examination,of which 61 showed low density in cysts,8 showed dermoid cysts,2 showed uneven density, and 1 showed high density in cysts.Postoperative pathological examination was performed on 88 of the 96 patients, including 64 dermoid cyst,16 sebaceous cyst and 8 Calcifying elioma of Malherbe. All cases underwent complete surgical resection, and no recurrence was found in outpatient review. Conclusion Orbital cyst has early onset and obvious clinical symptoms. For patients suspected of dermoid cyst, sebaceous cyst or calcified epithelioma, detailed imaging examination should be improved, individualized surgical treatment should be performed as soon as possible, and postoperative pathological examination should be carried out to provide reference for prognosis and diagnosis and treatment of orbital cyst.
