Abstract：Many studies have shown that acupuncture and moxibustion has a significant effect on the treatment of knee osteoarthritis and its side effects are small.So,there is an urgent need to find a core prescription for acupuncture and moxibustion for knee osteoarthritis. Objective To discusses the rules of acupoint selection in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis by acupuncture and moxibustion in China,based on data mining technology and to provide some reference for clinical treatment. Methods Randomized controlled trials about acupuncture and moxibustion in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis were retrieved from databases of CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP and so on,from inception to January 2022.Establish a database of acupuncture prescriptions using Microsoft Excel 2019 for descriptive analysis,and the clustering analysis and association rule analysis are carried out by IBM SPSS Statistics 26.0 and IBM SPSS Modeler 18.0 software. Restults Ultimately,122 studies involving 122 prescriptions,45 acupoints,total frequency 895 times were included.High frequency acupoints（frequency>10）are Dubi,Neixiyan,Xuehai,Yanglingquan,Zusanli and Liangqiu;High frequency meridians are the stomach channel of foot-yangming and the spleen channel of foot-taiyin;Specific points are mainly Wushuxue、Bahuixue and Xixue;5 clusters including Dubi-Neixiyan,Zusanli-Weizhong,Yanglingquan-Yinlingquan-Xuehai-Liangqiu-Heding,Sanyinjiao-Taixi and Guanyuan-Sshenshu-Xiyangguan were gotten by cluster analysis.The combination of acupoints with strongest support are Dubi-Neixiyan,Dubi-Liangqiu-Neixiyan,Dubi-Zusanli-Neixiyan,Dubi-Xuehai-Neixiyan,Dubi-Yanglingquan-Neixiyan and so on by relevance principle analysis. Conclusion The rules of acupoint selection in the treatment of knee osteoarthritis with acupuncture and moxibustion showed that main points focus on local points and the lower limbs meridian syndrome differentiation points,and pay attention to local acupoint selection,differentiation of acupoints along meridian and application of special acupoints such as Wushuxue,Bahuixue,Xixue.But in the clinical,doctor should also be combined with the specific syndromes of patients and syndrome differentiation.
