Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of minimally invasive extraction of impacted mandibular wisdom teeth and its safety. Methods 68 patients with impacted mandibular wisdom teethwere divided into two groups:observation group(n=34)and control group(n=34),The observation group was treated with minimally invasive extraction. The operation time, detumescence time and postoperative pain were compared between the two groups; The intraoperative and postoperative complication rates were compared between the two groups. Results The operation time and detumescence time of the observation group were shorter than those of the control group, and the extraction integrity, mouth opening limitation and postoperative pain score of the observation group were lower than those of the control group(P<0.05);The incidence of intraoperative and postoperative complications in the observation group were 5.88% and 2.94%,respectively,which were lower than 23.52% and 17.65% in the control group, with significant difference(P<0.05). Conclusion Minimally invasive extraction of impacted mandibular wisdom teeth can achieve better results, shorten the operation time, effectively relieve the pain, and reduce the incidence of complications, which can be widely used in the process of wisdom tooth surgery.
