Abstract  Objective To explore and analyze the correlation between female genital HPV infection, cervical lesions and vaginal microecology, and to provide a new basis for the prevention and treatment of cervical lesions. Methods Data of 8067 female patients with TCT and HPV testing were retrospectively analyzed, and the correlation between genital HPV infection, cervical lesions and vaginal microecology in women in Jiangmen area was analyzed. Results Among the 8067 women included in the study,3267 cases had little or no vaginal microecological lactobacillus, accounting for 40.50%,1323 cases had abnormal cleanliness, accounting for 16.40%,2237 cases had bacterial vaginosis, accounting for 27.73%,1579 cases had candida infection, accounting for 19.70%,223 cases had trichomonas infection, accounting for 2.76%.Rank correlation test showed that HPV infection and cervical lesions were closely correlated with vaginal microecology(Lactobacillus, cleanliness, bacterial vaginosis, trichomonas infection)(P<0.05),but had no significant correlation with vaginal candida infection(P>0.05). Conclusion Female vaginal microecology is closely related to HPV infection and cervical lesions.Imbalance of vaginal microecology, reduction of dominant bacteria, imbalance of bacterial flora, pathogen invasion and abnormal cleanliness increase the risk of HPV infection and cervical lesions. Therefore, prevention of HPV infection and cervical lesions can be started from improving female vaginal microecology.
