Abstract Objective To explore the method of fine assessment of mandible motor ability in speech.Methods From February 2018 to June 2019,53 patients with voice disorders who came to the fourth hospital of Harbin were selected as the experimental group and 50 patients with normal pronunciation as the control group.The resonance peak when the patient pronounces vowel [a] and [i] were measured by Real time speech meter produced by taiyige company of the United States.The difference between F1(a)and F1(i)was used to reflect the opening and closing range of the mandible.The mandibular movement range and movement ability was analyzed according to the measurement results.Results The values of F1(a),F1(i)and △F1 in the experimental group were significantly lower than those of normal patients,and the analysis Resultswere statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The measurement of vowel [a] and [i] formants can accurately reflect the motion ability and range of mandibular in the process of vocalization which is suitable for clinical application.
