| Comparison of Effects of Four Different Concentrations of Hypertonic Saline Aerosol Treatment on Improving the Clinical Symptoms of Infant Bronchiolitis |

Abstract Objective To compare the effects of four different concentrations of hypertonic saline aerosol treatment on improving the clinical symptoms of infant bronchiolitis.Methods 200 infants with bronchiolitis admitted to our hospital were selected as the study subjects and divided into four groups (group A,group B,group C,and group D) according to the random number table method,with 50 cases in each group.Group A,group B,group C and group D were treated with 3%,5%,6% and 7% hypertonic salineaerosol treatment respectively.The disappearance timesof clinical symptoms and signs,Wang severity score (CS) and adverse reactions were compared.Results There was no significant difference in the efficacy among the four groups (P>0.05).There was no significant difference in the CS score among the four groups after treatment(P>0.05).There were no significant differences in the disappearance times of clinical symptoms and signs among the four groups(P>0.05).The incidence rates of adverse reactions in groups A,B,C,and D were 0.00%,6.00%,12.00%,and 14.00% respectively.The incidence rate of adverse reactions in groups C and D was higher than that in group A(P<0.05).Conclusion Four different concentrations (3%,5%,6%,7%) of hypertonic saline aerosol treatment can effectively improve the clinical symptoms of infantbronchiolitis,but 3% hypertonic saline aerosol treatment has better safety.
