| Effect of Buspirone in the Treatment of Schizophrenia and Its Influence on Cognitive Function and Quality of Life |

Abstract Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of buspirone on schizophrenia and its influence on cognitive function and quality of life. Methods 146 schizophrenic patients in our hospital were selected and randomly divided into two groups-the observation group and the control group,with 73 patients in each group.The observation group was treated with buspirone combined with risperidone,while the control group was treated with routine treatment.After 3 months of treatment,the efficacy,cognitive function,quality of life and adverse reactions of the two groups were observed and compared. Results After 3 months of treatment,the overall effective rate of the observation group was 94.52%,which was higher than 83.56% of the control group（P<0.05）;the cognitive function score（CASI）and quality of life scale score（SF-36）of the observation group were higher than those of the observation group（P<0.05）;the adverse reactions of the observation group were not significantly different from those of the control group（P=0.677>0.05）. Conclusion Buspirone can significantly improve the cognitive function and quality of life of patients with schizophrenia,reduce the incidence of adverse reactions,the treatment effect is better than conventional treatment,worthy of clinical promotion.
