Abstract Objective To observe the effect of racecadotril granule combined with zinc gluconate on the improvement of diarrhea symptoms in children. Methods A total of 74 children with pediatric diarrhea were selected and divided into a single group(n=37)and a combined group(n=37)according to a random number table. The single group was treated with racecadotril granule treatment, the combination group was treated with zinc gluconate on the basis of the control group. The efficacy, clinical symptoms improvement time, myocardial enzyme levels(AST,CK-MB)and serum inflammatory factor levels(IL-6,TNF-α)before and after treatment were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of the combined group 94.59%(35/37)was higher than 75.68%(28/37)in the single group(P<0.05),the time of antipyretic, antidiarrheal and antiemetic in the combined group was shorter than that in the single group(P<0.05).After treatment,AST and CK-MB in the combined group were lower than those in the single group(P<0.05),after treatment, the serum IL-6 and TNF-α levels in the combined group were lower than those in the single group(P<0.05). Conclusion The use of racecadotril granules combined with zinc gluconate in the treatment of children with diarrhea is effective, which can reduce inflammatory reactions, regulate myocardial enzyme levels, and improve clinical symptoms. It is worthy of clinical application.
