Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of imipenem combined with ambroxol on the levels of WBC,PCT and CRP in patients with severe pneumonia. Methods The clinical data of 80 patients with severe pneumonia admitted in our hospital from November 2018 to March 2020 were retrospectively analyzed and grouped according to different treatment plans. The patients treated with ambroxol were included in the control group(40 cases),and the patients treated with imipenem combined with ambroxol were included in the observation group(41 cases).Compare the symptoms improvement and mechanical ventilation time of the two groups. The WBC,PCT,CRP,arterial oxygen partial pressure(PaO2),and arterial carbon dioxide partial pressure(PaCO2) were compared between the two groups before treatment and after 14 days of treatment. Results The time for body temperature recovery and mechanical ventilation in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the rate of lesion absorption was higher than that in the control group. The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment, there was no significant difference in WBC,PCT,CRP,PaO2,PaCO2 between the two groups(P>0.05).After 14 days of treatment,WBC,PCT,CRP,and PaCO2 in both groups were decreased, and PaO2 was increased, and the change in the observation group was greater, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The treatment of severe pneumonia patients with imipenem combined with ambroxol can accelerate the absorption of the lesions, reduce the inflammatory response, increase the blood oxygen content, and promote the patients' early recovery of health.
