Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of combined detection of umbilical cord blood hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α)and ultrasound umbilical blood flow parameters in the diagnosis of fetal distress. Methods Fifty pregnant women with confirmed fetal intrauterine distress who delivered at our hospital from May 2024 to February 2025 were selected as the experimental group, and 50 healthy pregnant women who delivered in our hospital during the same period were selected as the control group.Umbilical cord blood HIF-1α and fetal umbilical artery blood flow parameters(resistance index RI,pulsatility index PI,systolic peak velocity and diastolic end velocity ratio S/D,fetal heart rate)were jointly detected to evaluate the specificity of these indicators in diagnosing fetal intrauterine distress. Results The umbilical artery blood HIF-1α in the experimental group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).The area under the curve(AUC)of serum HIF-1 for diagnosing fetal intrauterine distress was 0.632.The AUC of umbilical artery blood flow parameters in the experimental group:mid-term RI,PI,S/D,fetal heart rate were 0.614,0.618,0.609,0.548 respectively;late-term RI,PI,S/D,fetal heart rate:AUC were 0.576,0.503,0.536,0.548 respectively. Conclusion Umbilical artery blood HIF-1α is related to the occurrence of fetal distress, and it has certain application value for the early diagnosis of fetal distress and reducing the neonatal mortality rate.
