Abstract:Objective To analyze the therapeutic effect of dual-wavelength laser combined with periodontal basic therapy on diabetic patients with chronic periodontitis. Methods 60 cases of DM complicated with CP in our department from December randomly divided into two groups. The control group(30 cases)was given periodontal basic treatment, and the observation group(30 cases)was given dual-wavelength laser treatment. The clinical efficacy, periodontal parameters and inflammatory reaction in gingival sulcus were compared. Results The clinical efficacy of the observation group was higher(93.33%vs76.67%).After treatment, the levels of PD,BI and PLI in the two groups were all decreased, and the levels of IL-16,IL-8 and IL-10 in the observation group were lower(P<0.05).IL-4 all increased, especially in the observation group(P<0.05).Conclusion The application of dual-wavelength laser combined with periodontal basic therapy in patients with diabetes mellitus complicated with chronic periodontitis can effectively improve the clinical efficacy, periodontal parameters and inflammation level.
