Abstract：Objective To explore the application of QingreTongfei Decoction in the treatment of severe pneumonia with retention of heat-phlegm in the lung. Methods A total of 84 patients with severe pneumonia with retention of heat-phlegm in the lung were randomly divided into western medicine group and traditional Chinese medicine group,42 cases in eacsh group.The western medicine group was treated with conventional western medicine,and the traditional Chinese medicine group was treated with QingreTongfei Decoction on the basis of the western medicine group.The TCM symptom score,blood gas index and inflammatory factor levels were compared between the two groups after treatment. Results After treatment,expectoration,shortness of breath,tongue condition and pulse condition of the two groups decreased,and the scores of TCM group were lower than those of western medicine group（P<0.05）.After treatment,PaO2 and OI of TCM group were higher than those of western medicine group,PaCO2 of TCM group was lower than that of western medicine group（P<0.05）.After treatment,the levels of IL-6,TNF - α and IL-10 in TCM group were lower than those of western medicine group（P<0.05）. Conclusion QingreTongfei Decoction has better curative effect in the adjuvant treatment of severe pneumonia with retention of heat-phlegm in the lung,which can reduce TCM symptom score,improve blood gas index,and reduce inflammatory reaction.
