Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical value of cardiac ultrasound in evaluating the severity of heart failure(HF). Methods A total of 80 HF patients were selected as the research objects, and they were divided into grade II(n=30),grade III(n=26),and grade IV(n=24)according to the New York Heart Association(NYHA)cardiac function classification.LVEF,LVESD and LVEDD were measured by cardiac ultrasound in all patients. The clinical value of cardiac color Doppler ultrasound in evaluating the severity of HF patients was analyzed. Results The LVEF level was the highest in grade II HF patients, and the LVESD and LVEDD levels were the lowest, followed by grade III.The LVEF level was the lowest in grade IV HF patients, and the LVESD and LVEDD levels were the highest. The difference among the three groups was statistically significant(P<0.05).ROC results showed that the area under the curve(AUC)of LVEF,LVESD,LVEDD assessment of grade III and IV HF patients were all>0.70,which has certain predictive value. Conclusion Cardiac ultrasound can effectively assess the severity of HF patients, and provide an objective reference for clinical treatment plan formulation and prognosis evaluation of patients.
