Abstract:Objective To explore the application value of diffusion tensor imaging(DTI)and T2WI sequence in patients with multilevel cervical spondylotic myelopathy(MCSM).Methods 96 patients with MCSM who received anterior cervical decompression and fusion were selected. All patients underwent MRI before and 6 months after operation, and the DTI and T2WI sequence images were observed. The nerve root anisotropy score(FA)and apparent diffusion coefficient(ADC)were measured. The JOA scores of patients before and 6 months after operation were evaluated by cervical JOA scale.Pearson correlation analysis was used to analyze the correlation between FA,ADC values and JOA scores after operation. Results Among 96 patients, there were 11 cases with low signal on T1WI and high signal on T2WI before operation, and 3 cases with low signal on T1WI and high signal on T2WI after operation.Six months after the operation,JOA score and FA value of all patients were significantly higher than those before operation, and ADC value was significantly lower than that before operation(P<0.05).There is a positive correlation between postoperative JOA score and FA value(P<0.05),but there is no significant correlation between postoperative JOA score and ADC(P>0.05).Conclusion DTI and T2WI sequence detection can reflect the pathological changes of patients' cervical vertebrae, and can play a role in evaluating postoperative recovery.
