Abstract  Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of antiretroviral therapy compliance in AIDS patients. Methods The clinical data of 150 AIDS patients who were followed up and managed by our center and were referred to designated hospitals for treatment were retrospectively analyzed. All of them received antiretroviral therapy for one year.In the good compliance group and the poor compliance group, the related factors affecting their treatment compliance were analyzed. Results Among the 150 patients,30 had poor treatment compliance, and 120 had good compliance;univariate analysis showed that low educational level, adverse reactions during treatment, lack of understanding of disease and treatment knowledge, negative attitude towards disease and patients.Poor treatment compliance was associated with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Logistic regression analysis showed that low educational level, adverse reactions during treatment, lack of understanding of disease and treatment knowledge, and negative attitude towards disease were independent risk factors for patients' treatment compliance(P<0.05 and OR≥1). Conclusion The compliance of AIDS patients with antiretroviral therapy needs to be improved.Low education level, adverse reactions during treatment, lack of understanding of disease and treatment knowledge, and negative attitude towards disease are independent influencing factors.Clinical interventions should be formulated for the above factors. To improve patient compliance with treatment.
