AbstractObjective To analyze the value of serum fibroblast growth factor-23(FGF-23)and adiponectin(ADP)levels in predicting premature delivery in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus. Methods 70 patients with gestational diabetes mellitus in our hospital were prospectively selected as the research objects. They were followed up to delivery, and the incidence of premature birth was counted.A general information questionnaire was designed to inquire and record the general information of the patients and the laboratory indexes [serum triglyceride(TG),total cholesterol(TC),total cholesterol(TC)] at the time of diagnosis of gestational diabetes mellitus Fasting blood glucose(FPG),FGF-23,ADP],to analyze the value of serum FGF-23,ADP levels in predicting premature delivery in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus. Results There were 17 cases of premature delivery and 53 cases of no premature delivery in 70 cases of gestational diabetes mellitus; The level of serum FGF-23 in the occurrence group was higher than that in the non occurrence group, and the level of serum ADP was lower than that in the non occurrence group(P<0.05);Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that high serum FGF-23 level and low ADP level were associated with premature delivery in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus(P<0.05);The receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)was drawn. The results showed that the area under the curve(AUC)of serum FGF-23,ADP levels and combined detection in predicting premature delivery in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus was more than 0.7,and the value of combined diagnosis was the best. Conclusion The serum levels of FGF-23 and ADP have higher value in predicting premature delivery in patients with gestational diabetes mellitus.
