Abstract:Objective To analyze the efficacy of non-invasive ventilator combined with progressive respiratory rehabilitation training in elderly patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD). Methods A total of 80 elderly COPD patients admitted to our hospital from June 2024 to December 2025 were enrolled in the study. They were randomly divided into a control group(non-invasive ventilator therapy,40 cases)and an observation group(progressive respiratory rehabilitation training+non-invasive ventilator therapy,40 cases)using a random number table. The clinical total effective rate, pulmonary function, blood gas levels, quality of life, and adverse reactions were compared between the two groups. Results The clinical total effective rate in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group(P<0.05).After 2 weeks of treatment, all pulmonary function indicators in the observation group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The partial pressure of carbon dioxide(PaCO2)in the observation group was lower, while the partial pressure of oxygen(PaO2)was higher after 2 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).All quality of life scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group after 2 weeks of treatment(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions in the observation group was significantly lower than that in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion Non-invasive ventilator combined with progressive respiratory rehabilitation training can effectively improve the clinical total effective rate, enhance pulmonary function and blood gas levels, and achieve higher quality of life with a lower incidence of adverse reactions.
