Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of nasal endoscopic low-temperature plasma ablation of adenoid on immune function in children with obstructive sleep apnea-hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS).Methods A total of 88 children confirmed with OSAHS in the hospital were enrolled.According to simple random grouping method, they were divided into observation group and control group,44 cases in each group. The control group underwent adenoid dissection, while observation group was treated with nasal endoscopic low-temperature plasma ablation of adenoid. After surgery, curative effect between the two groups was compared. The serum immunoglobulin G(IgG),immunoglobulin A(IgA)and immunoglobulin M(IgM)were detected by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay. The peripheral blood T lymphocyte subsets(CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+)were detected by Beckman flow cytometry. The occurrence of postoperative complications in both groups was observed and recorded. Results The difference in total response rate of treatment between observation group and control group was not statistically significant(93.18% vs 86.36%)(P>0.05).After surgery, levels of serum IgG,IgA and IgM,and peripheral blood CD3+,CD4+ and CD4+/CD8+ in observation group were significantly higher than those in control group(P<0.05).The difference in incidence of postoperative complications between observation group and control group was not statistically significant(2.27% vs 11.36%)(P>0.05).Conclusion There is no difference in curative effect and complications between nasal endoscopic low-temperature plasma ablation of adenoid and adenoid dissection in the treatment of OSAHS children, with few effects on immune function.
