Abstract Objective To explore the predictive value of immature platelet fraction(IPF)for bleeding risk in patients with coronary artery disease(CAD)receiving 6-month dual antiplatelet therapy(DAPT). Methods A prospective study was conducted.A total of 213 patients with acute coronary syndrome or stable CAD after percutaneous coronary intervention were consecutively enrolled. All patients received dual antiplatelet therapy, and IPF was measured.Telephone follow-up was performed 6 months after discharge to collect data on bleeding events. The correlations between various factors and bleeding events were examined and a multivariate Logistic regression analysis was used to construct a predictive model for bleeding events. Results A total of 84 patients(39.4%)experienced bleeding events during the 6-month DAPT period, primarily manifesting as mucocutaneous bleeding.IPF was negatively correlated with bleeding risk at 6 months of DAPT(OR=0.703).Bleeding risk were also correlated with renal function, inflammation, left main coronary artery disease and ticagrelor use. Conclusion IPF can predict bleeding risk at 6 months in patients with CAD receiving DAPT.
