AbstractObjective To study the clinical effect of epidural anesthesia combined with low dose intravenous anesthesia on patients undergoing total hip replacement. Methods 40 patients who received total hip arthroplasty were selected and divided into control group and observation group according to the different anesthesia methods selected during the operation.20 patients in the control group received epidural anesthesia during the operation, and 20 patients in the observation group received epidural anesthesia combined with low-dose intravenous anesthesia during the operation. The anesthesia effect, adverse reaction caused by anesthesia, onset time of anesthesia, total block time, total recovery time of anesthesia, total hospitalization time, blood rheology, blood pressure, heart rate and partial pressure of cerebral oxygen before and after anesthesia were compared between the two groups. Results The total effective rate of surgical anesthesia in the observation group was higher than that in the control group, and there was a statistically significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05);The adverse reactions caused by anesthesia in the observation group were less than those in the control group, and the data between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);The onset time of anesthesia, the time of complete anesthesia, the time of complete recovery from anesthesia, and the total time of hospitalization in the observation group were shorter than those in the control group, and the data between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05);The changes of hemorheology, blood pressure, heart rate and partial pressure of cerebral oxygen in the observation group before and after anesthesia were smaller than those in the control group, and the data between the groups were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Epidural anesthesia combined with low dose intravenous anesthesia can minimize the adverse effects on hemorheology, blood pressure, heart rate and partial pressure of cerebral oxygen, reduce related adverse reactions, shorten the onset of anesthesia and the time of awakening, and significantly improve the anesthetic effect.
