The Impact of Insulin Combined with Dietary Intervention Therapy on the Lipid Levels and the Incidence of Gestational Complications of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus Patients

Abstract：Objective To investigate the effects of insulin combined with dietary intervention on the treatment of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM). Methods A total of 96 GDM patients were included and randomLy divided into two groups.The control group(n=48)received routine dietary intervention guidance,while the observation group(n=48)received insulin combined with dietary intervention.Blood glucose and lipid parameters were compared between the two groups before intervention and after 2 weeks of intervention.The differences in pregnancy-related complications were also compared. Results After 2 weeks of intervention,the observation group showed lower levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG),2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2hPG),glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)compared to the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)levels in the obser-vation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The rate of pregnancy-related complications in the observation group was,significantly lower than the observed in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The use of insulin com-bined with dietary intervention demonstrates a significant improvement in glucose and lipid metabolism for GDM patients,effectively reducing the incidence of related complications,highlighting its clinical value.
