Abstract:Objective To investigate the effects of insulin combined with dietary intervention on the treatment of gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM). Methods A total of 96 GDM patients were included and randomLy divided into two groups. The control group(n=48)received routine dietary intervention guidance, while the observation group(n=48)received insulin combined with dietary intervention.Blood glucose and lipid parameters were compared between the two groups before intervention and after 2 weeks of intervention. The differences in pregnancy-related complications were also compared. Results After 2 weeks of intervention, the observation group showed lower levels of fasting blood glucose(FBG),2-hour postprandial blood glucose(2hPG),glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c),total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides(TG),and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)compared to the control group(P<0.05).Additionally,the high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)levels in the obser-vation group were significantly higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The rate of pregnancy-related complications in the observation group was, significantly lower than the observed in the control group(P<0.05). Conclusion The use of insulin com-bined with dietary intervention demonstrates a significant improvement in glucose and lipid metabolism for GDM patients, effectively reducing the incidence of related complications, highlighting its clinical value.
