The Effect of Mini Locking Plate Internal Fixation in the Treatment of Patients with Ankle Fractures Combined with Inferior Tibiofibular Syndesmosis Ligament Injury

Abstract：Objective To analyze the clinical effect of micro-locking plate internal fixation in the treatment of ankle fracture combined with lower tibiofibular joint ligament injury,and to provide theoretical reference basis for clinical practice. Methods 94 cases of ankle fracture combined with lower tibiofibular joint ligament injury were selected as the research subjects,and according to the condition and the patients' wishes,they were divided into the observation group and the control group,with 47 patients in the observation group and 47 patients in the control group.The control group was treated with percutaneous screw internal fixation,and the observation group was treated with mini locking plate internal fixation,comparing the clinical effects,perioperative indexes,pain level,foot and ankle function and daily activity ability of the two groups. Results The effective rate of 95.7% in the observation group was higher than 83.0% in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）;the hospitalization time and fracture healing time of the observation group were lower than those of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）;3 days after the operation,the difference between the VAS,BI and AOFAS-AH scores of the two groups was not statistically significant（P>0.05）,and 3 months after the operation,the two groups VAS scores decreased and BI and AOFAS-AH scores increased,but VAS scores in the observation group were lower than those in the control group,and BI and AOFAS-AH scores were higher than those in the control group,and the difference was statistically significant（P<0.05）. Conclusion The clinical effect of micro-locking plate internal fixation in patients with ankle fracture combined with lower tibiofibular joint ligament injury is remarkable,which can significantly shorten the recovery time,reduce the degree of postoperative pain,and improve the function of the ankle joint.
